The Battle Creek Reservoir is a small manmade lake in the near Lassen National Park. There are multiple ways to get there and a Google Maps Directions search will get you there no matter which direction you are coming from.

The paddle around the reservoir is relatively short, but if you throw in a little Dam exploration, and a high point climb the journey will be a good one. Bring a fishing pole and a good catch of small Rainbow Trout could be on the list. It is not uncommon to be out for a paddle and observe the Osprey catching fish.
