Montgomery Creek Falls is located on Montgomery Creek Road just off of Highway 299 East and only 38 minutes from Redding, Ca. Although there is a place to park at the top of Montgomery Creek Falls, a short steep hike will be required to view it. As with all cliff areas, be extremely cautious when exploring the area.

Montgomery Creek Falls two-tiered fall is between a narrow fissure in the base rock. Overall, Montgomery Creek drops around 50 feet, ending in a small pool before a series of rapids. A steep trail descends the Northern side to the base of the waterfall and yields some perfect vantage points for pictures.

Montgomery Creek Falls is a must see when traveling on 299 East between Redding and Burney California. The falls are just feet from the bridge but to see them from the bottom a person is going to require some Mountain Goat genes. Even though the trail to the base is a treacherous jaunt, a little exploring on the rocks at the top will yield some decent views.
